ʻAINA IN Schools Year End Garden Parties
Posted On: Jun 04, 12
The ‘AINA IS Schools are wrapping up another great year. May was the month for ‘AINA In Schools Garden Parties, where students, families, and community groups prepare the garden beds for the summer. School gardens were harvested, weeded and mulched. Thank you to Bank of Hawaii, Schofield Barracks 558th MP Company, Hands In Helping Out for volunteer support, Pier 1 for cardboard, and Hula Grill and the Rogers Family Foundation for their generous donations to Kokua Hawaii Foundation and for lending a helping hand. Special thanks to Vance’s Hauling and Hawaiian Earth Products for years of mulch donation and delivery to our ‘AINA IS partner schools. Stay tuned for the August Fall Garden Party dates. Many volunteers will be needed to prepare the gardens for the Fall garden lessons.
