Green Classroom Professional Certificate Workshop

Would you like to be part of a green team, be a green teacher or help to green classrooms?

The Hawai'i Chapter of the US Green Building Council will host a Green Classroom Professional Certificate Workshop on Saturday November 3rd at Waikiki Elementary School that will train educators in sustainable classroom practices and help turn your classroom and campus into living laboratories, create student awareness of a greener lifestyle, and facilitate energy savings and environmental benefits for students and schools!

The Green Classroom Professional Certificate Program includes the following:

  • Professional Certificate Course – to be completed at your own pace online ($175 value; Non-PD credit pending)
  • Hands-on Workshop – 5 hours, including continental breakfast and a healthy catered lunch
  • Green Classroom Toolkit – includes energy, water, and air quality monitoring equipment, green cleaning tools, recycling tools, and more ($200 value, one per school or team)
  • Classroom Mentoring – provides professional support to workshop participants for environmental monitoring and improvement projects in their classrooms and schools)

The workshop capacity is 60 and will be filled on a first come/first serve basis, so register early!  Multiple participants from the same school / and green teams of various stakeholders collaborating with a school are encouraged.
