Kokua Hawaii Foundation Supports Menehune Surf Contest

The 36th Annual North Shore Menehune Surf Contest was held during the last two weekends of October at Ali'i Beach Park in Haleiwa. All contestants were treated to a Plastic Free Haleiwa reusable tote bag filled with prizes from lots of generous supporters. Kokua Hawaii Foundation was on hand during the event, upcycling old Kokua Festival t-shirts into reusable tote bags with the contestants. In addition to a Water Refill station, Kokua Hawaii Foundation also provided recycling bins throughout the event to encourage folks to "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!”
