From Inspiration to Impact: Filling the Gaps Hawaiʻi Environmental Education Symposium July 13, 14, and 15, 2016 Hawaiʻi Pacific University, Downtown Honolulu campus at Aloha Tower Marketplace Wednesday, 7/13/16; 9:00 am - 6:30 pm, includes lunch and pau hana reception Cost: $60 early bird (before June 15); $85 regular Keynote Speaker: Noah Manduke, Durable Good Presentations by classroom teachers, community educators and EE resource people about best practices for EE in schools, connecting Hawaiian culture and EE, engaging the general public or government, environmental education on school campuses & gardens, achieving Next Generation Science Standards, professional development opportunities, program evaluation/assessment, and communication/marketing/branding/fund-raising. Thursday, 7/14/16, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Cost: $20-$40 per workshop, including take-home materials Six workshops offered throughout the day: Small-group sessions with Noah Manduke; hands-on field science; leadership training; and biotechnology. Friday, 7/15/16, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Cost: $20-$60 per person. Field trips; 3 full-day educational trips offered. Includes transportation and lunch.
