A Yuchi member of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, Dr. Wildcat is a professor at Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas and an accomplished scholar who writes on indigenous knowledge, technology, environment and education. He is the director of the Haskell Environmental Research Studies Center, which he founded with colleagues, and he also formed the American Indian and Alaska Native Climate Change Working Group. We are very excited to host Dr. Wildcat while he is on Oʻahu for the PRiMO conference! Dr. Wildcat focuses directly on the integration of indigenous approaches and knowledge systems with conventional conservation efforts to combat environmental issues and global climate change.
