Bishop Museum is proud to present the third-annual Science Alive!, a day of family-friendly science activities and demonstrations on Bishop Museum’s Great Lawn, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This Family Sunday is a $5 reduced admission day for kama‘āina and military with valid photo ID (required). As always, admission is free for Bishop Museum members. Activities this year center on the theme Water of Life. Water is essential to life on Earth, from the depths of the ocean, to the heights of Mauna Kea. Bring the whole family to learn about water’s central role in Pacific biodiversity and culture! Kids of all ages will love visiting the Museum and more than 30 community partner tables to learn about science and the environment through engaging activities: Embark on a canoe plant scavenger hunt See a NOAA weather balloon Plant a koa tree to support native watersheds Explore the touch-tank of tide pool critters Use a microscope to see fluorescent plankton glow Score tons of fun freebies and more!
