Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Beach Cleanup

Location: Oahu - Waimanalo, Malaekahana, and Ka'ean Point

We are pleased to support the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. Join Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation’s Plastic Free Hawaiʻi and our community partners at one of the three beach cleanups planned around the island of Oʻahu: Three cleanups are from 9:00am - 11:00am, with check-in starting at 8:30am: Malaekahana State Recreation Area (and Kahuku Golf Course) - Partners include Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiii and Kahuku High & Intermediate School Green Club Kaʻena Point, Mokuleʻia route - Partners include Friends of Ka`ena Waimanalo Beach Park - Partners include Surfrider Foundation - Oahu Chapter, Ocean Devotion Hawaii, and Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks To bring: Reusable water bottle and sun protection. Carpooling strongly encouraged. Directions: Ka'ena Point (Mokule`ia route): Take H-2 to Kaukonahua Road (Route 803) to Farrington Highway (Route 930) past Waialua and go about 1 mile past Camp Erdman until you reach the parking lot. Kahuku: Meet at Malaekahana State Recreation area off Kamehameha Highway at mile marker #34 on the beach side. Carpool vans will be provided for some volunteers to assist at Kahuku Golf Course courtesy of Sustainable Coastlines. Waimanalo Beach Park: The park is located at 41 Kalanianaole Hwy in Waimanalo on the beach side of the road. Use the entrance and parking located near the baseball diamond. Entrance is between Nakini Street and Huli Street.
