Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive: Hawaiʻi Baptist Academy Elementary

Location: 114 N. Kuakini St. Honolulu, HI 96817
This Aloha 'Āina Recycling Drive will be at Hawaiʻi Baptist Academy Elementary School - Nuʻuanu Oʻahu from 9:00am - 12:00pm on Saturday, November 7, 2020. The school is located at the back of a long driveway, past a senior care home. Please drive to the end of the driveway to reach the event, and look for banners. New health and safety measures are being implemented to ensure that all participants are safe while we continue to offer this vital community service for rescuing resources from the waste stream and illegal dumping. Stop by to drop off miscellaneous recyclable items! We will be collecting: -Scrap metal collected in partnership with Schnitzer Steel (bicycles, metal desks, filing cabinets, other appliances, etc.) * Unfortunately, we can no longer accept items with refrigerants like ACs and refrigerators, or compressed gas cylinders.* -Electronics collected in partnership with T&N Computer Recycling and Hawaiian Hope (including computers, TVs, laptops, large toner and printer cartridges, cell phones, cameras, game systems, & more) **We cannot accept smart boards or large printer/copiers at this event** Please, one TV per car. -Used household cooking oil collected in partnership with Pacific Biodiesel -HI-5 beverage cans & bottles, collected in partnership RRR Recycling Services Hawai’i -Like-new tools, furniture, appliances, cabinets, and surplus home fixtures- collected in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Restore. **Please note we are no longer able to accept batteries, confidential documents, or household items intended for Goodwill.** Proceeds from HI-5 containers, scrap metal and used cooking oil will serve as a fundraiser for the host school! The Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are coordinated by Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation as part of the 3R's School Recycling Program and are made possible through sponsorship from Schnitzer Steel Industries and support from other local recycling partners including Pacific Biodiesel, Goodwill Hawaii, T&N Computer Recycling, Interstate Batteries, RRR Recycling Services, Hawaiian Hope, and Honolulu Habitat for Humanity Restore! AARDs provide opportunities for schools, families & community members to drop off a variety of goods for reuse and recycling.
