Farm Field Trips
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Field Trip Grants help bring students to outdoor sites where they can experience hands-on learning about Hawai’i’s environment. Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation offers financial assistance to Hawai’i public schools which otherwise could not afford to participate in environmental field trips. Most field trip locations provide hands-on learning experiences for students grades K-12 and offer educational tours that can be customized to any grade level.
Waikalua Loko I‘a
Kaneʻohe, OʻahuGrade Levels Served: K-12
The Waikalua Fishpond Preservation Society affords students not only a hands-on cultural experience but also an understanding the history of our Hawaiian eco-system. A visit to the Waikalua Loko Fishpond will further your students environmental knowledge and instill valuable information in the minds of our future stewards of the islands and caretakers of the earth. Waikulua is a vibrant and active fishpond that allows the classroom to come to life and students witness the interdependence and roles that exist in the ahupua’a.
