Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives

January 07, 2020

In December, we held our last Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive of 2019 at Kaiser High School. Kaiser did a great job hosting the event, bringing in more than 18 student and staff volunteers. All of the help was needed, as the AARD was very busy, recovering over 12,000 lbs of electronic waste, scrap metal, household goods, HI-5 cans and bottles, cooking oil, batteries, and documents for shredding. All of these materials were rescued from disposal for reuse or recycling, contributing to a cleaner Hawaiʻi Kai!

Join us at one of our first two Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives of 2020, hosted by Nuʻuanu Elementary School and Waialua High & Intermediate School.
