Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives

February 02, 2021

We are thrilled to continue offering our Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives in 2021! Mahalo to SEEQS and Kailua High School for starting off this semester with well attended, impactful recycling drives which rescued over 15,000 pounds of electronics, furniture, tools, cooking oil, cans and bottles and scrap metal for recycling and reuse. Please spread the word and join us for more recycling drives in February; we will be in Hawaiʻi Kai and Waipahu (Oʻahu). Friendly reminder that these drives are meant for residents and schools, not for commercial drop offs from businesses.

In addition to our Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives the 3Rs School Recycling Program has many additional resources and staff support for schools looking to learn about waste reduction and resource conservation. If your school or student group is interested in learning about waste audits, presentations on waste reduction concepts, or starting a school project or campaign, please contact [email protected] for more information.
