Food Trees for Schools Initiative Application Open- Deadline September 7

Our friends at the Hawaiʻi Farm to School Hui (F2S Hui) with funding support from Bank of Hawaiʻi announced the launch of the  Food Trees for Schools (FTS) Initiative! Is your school a DOE PreK-12 public or charter school? Does your school have an interest in planting food trees on campus?  If the answer is YES to both of these questions, we strongly encourage you to apply for the opportunity to establish a small orchard for food & fruit trees on your school campus! This fall, FTS is awarding at least one DOE public or charter school per island 5 food trees to plant on their school’s campus on or around Arbor Day, November 4th, in line with the Hawaiian Makahiki season.
