Free Teachers Workshop for Huakaʻi o Kamananui, Aloha ʻĀina Moanalua Curriculum

Moanalua Gardens Foundation (MGF) and DLNR’s Division of Forestry and Wildlife are pleased to offer this FREE workshop for fourth grade teachers on their Huakaʻi o Kamananui, Aloha ʻĀina Moanalua place-based environmental education curriculum on Saturday, February 2, from 8:30 am to 4 pm at Moanalua Middle School Library and Kamananui (Moanalua) Valley.  The workshop includes a teacher’s guide, lesson plans, student activity sheets, rubrics, CDs, a DVD and other resources. MGF will provide all materials plus meals and refreshments. The curriculum meets Common Core and HCPS III Standards and has been very well received by teachers attending earlier workshops. It’s a great opportunity to receive a curriculum, learn about teaching opportunities in Kamananui Valley and receive FREE bus transportation for field trips.
