Huge Turnout for Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Beach Cleanups

Our annual Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Beach Cleanup on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service was held on Monday, January 15. At James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge, 500 volunteers cleaned 6,050 pounds of marine debris off the beach. At our second location, Kalama Beach Park, 250 volunteers cleaned 943 pounds off the beach. In total, we had 750 volunteers collect 6,993 pounds of marine debris!
