Kōkua Learning Farm Fall Youth Internship 

The Kōkua Learning Farm Fall Youth internship is in full swing here on the farm! This month's activities included harvesting over 40 pounds of cassava from our fields along with buckets full of okra, tomatillos and sugar cane. The interns enjoyed harvesting and processing the produce just as much as they enjoyed creating farm fresh meals from them. Some of our recipes that we explored include Tomatillo Salsa Verde, Cassava Fries and Sugar Cane Juice. Youth interns also assisted with the nursery expansion project and planted beets, leeks, and gai lan into our production plots. Mahalo nui to all of our youth interns for all the hard work and perseverance that you bring to the farm each week.
