Marine Debris and Art Training for Educators

Washed Ashore, a sustainability and arts nonprofit based in Oregon, is providing a workshop to introduce Washed Ashore's Integrated Arts Marine Debris Curriculum to educators so that they can bring these lessons back to their own classrooms. This workshop is for K-5 teachers and will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Art Explorium in Kaimuki. The curriculum is a twelve lesson unit designed for elementary school students, and offers innovative ways to discuss issues of marine debris and plastic pollution.
The cost to attend the workshop is $10, which includes dinner. Guided art activities & dinner are also offered for up to 10 children (ages 6-11). The cost per child is $10. Register here. Space is limited.
