Plastic Free Hawaiʻi School Mural Contest
Join us and students from across the state as we “Catch the Plastic Free Wave and Wipe Out Plastic Pollution!” This school year, students and school groups grades K-12 incorporated marine debris, plastic bottle caps, or any other single-use plastic items collected from cleanups or recycling drives and created murals to inspire and evoke issues surrounding plastic pollution. 9 submissions were entered from Haleʻiwa Elementary School, Kahuku High and Intermediate School, Kailua Elementary School, Kailua Intermediate and ʻAikahi Elementary Schools, Kalāheo Elementary School, Keolu Elementary School, Konawaena Middle School, Le Jardin Academy, and Montessori School of Maui and now we need your help! Please vote for your favorite Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Mural submission! The grand prize winner will receive a water refill station for their school. Runners up will receive plastic free gifts for their participation. Deadline to cast your vote is Sunday, May 24. Winners will be announced in our June Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation newsletter!
