Plastic Free Hawaiʻi School Mural Contest | Cast Your Vote!
Mahalo to the students that participated in the 2023 Plastic Free Hawaiʻi School Mural Contest! K-12 students were encouraged to utilize marine debris, plastic material, and other single-use items collected from cleanups or waste recovery drives to create artwork - and give these items a second life by showcasing how to reduce waste and inspire optimistic solutions for minimizing plastic pollution.
Now it’s time to cast your Vote! Select your top three murals and help us choose a winner by using this form by April 15. The grand prize winner will receive a water refill station for their school, an in-person presentation from Upcycle Hawaiʻi for their class, and the chance to display their mural at the Honolulu Museum of Art in the Garden Club of Honolulu Garden Show. All participants will receive gifts from Upcycle Hawaiʻi and Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation for their submissions.
You may view the submitted murals at the upcoming Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Art Show from April 13-15th at the Kōkua Learning Farm. Stay tuned for more details!
