SHOCKA: The Story of Energy & Hawaiʻi
April 03, 2018
Honolulu Theatre for Youth is delighted to launch the third play in their science-based sustainability series exploring topics that are essential to the future of our young people. First they explored the history, culture, and science of local food in GRINDS. Next, they tackled the crucial role of fresh water in our lives in H20. Now, they are exploring Hawaiʻi’s relationship to energy in SHOCKA: The Story of Energy & Hawaiʻi. Like the two previous productions, this show has been created to appeal to students and enhance the work they are currently (or soon will be) studying. The content is based on DOE Standards and the delivery is fun, interactive, and will be one of the largest musical productions they have ever created.
SHOCKA has an extended run of April 9—May 25 for school performances and April 13 - May 5 for public performances. You don’t want you to miss it, so reserve your seats today!
