University of Hawai‘i West O‘ahu Sustainable Community Food Systems Program
March 27, 2019
For the last two years, Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation has hosted four seniors completing their practicum in UH West Oʻahu’s Sustainable Community Food Systems Program. As part of their internships, they supported ʻĀINA In Schools educator and docent trainings, farm field trips, and lessons. Ranked #2 in the nation for delivering higher education in sustainable agriculture at an affordable price, the program is designed to span traditional disciplinary boundaries through a comprehensive course of study of the ecology of the food system. The program is recruiting now; check out the UHWO Sustainable Community Food Systems page for more information, or contact Dr. Albie Miles at [email protected].
