VegFest Oʻahu Goes Plastic Free Again!
September 29, 2017
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation hosted a booth at Vegfest Oʻahu on September 2, an event that had 6,000 people in attendance. Attendees stopped by to make upcycled t-shirt tote bags, take home seeds to plant in their garden, and purchase Plastic Free Hawaiʻi reusable items. The Plastic Free Hawaiʻi water refill station offered free, filtered water and eliminated the need for thousands of single-use plastic water bottles. All food vendors used compostable foodware, make this a plastic free event for the second year in a row!
