We loved getting messages from our ʻĀINA Lead Teachers:
“I just wanted to send you some good news … and I wanted to thank you for always inspiring me to be my best ʻāina self. With your wisdom and suggestions I have changed one bed of soil! This summer I buried the sunflower parts in pieces and covered with soil and a cardboard. Today we took off the cardboard to plant beans (spontaneously) and I was running late to prepare the garden bed. When I put the shovel in the bed the soil was so soft and aerated and amazing! There were worms and it was the most amazing feeling on my hands. The kids didn’t even need a shovel to transplant their beans. Mahalo for all that you do!! Oh and the kalo is looking lovely.”
