What a fun day! Yesterday we welcomed 50 teachers and educational assistants to the Kokua Learning Farm for a Professional Development Day themed “A Taste of ʻĀINA!”
Teachers joined us in the ‘ĀINA Demonstration Gardens for flower harvest 🌸 & seed saving, harvested vermicompost 🪱 and learned about the ʻĀINA Food Guide by sampling poi smoothies.
🌱 They also enjoyed a close to the source ʻĀINA meal which included fresh ingredients from the Kōkua Learning Farm, Diamond Island Farm ʻUlu Mana Hawai’i and more!
