Kōkua Learning Farm Youth Interns have been busy this Spring session! They are diving deep into their journey as mahiʻai learning more each week! Interns recently had two informative workshops with two great mentors on the farm!
- Agroforestry expert and partner farmer, Drew Wilkinson of Growing Together hosted a bioswale workshop where interns learned more about the uses of a bioswale and also outplanted a variety of native plants.
- Partner farmer and owner of Diamond Island Farm, Carey Bonn, hosted a cucumber maintenance workshop in our high tunnel where interns got the chance to learn about powdery mildew and best practices to maximize our cucumber yield
