Join us this Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service for a meaningful opportunity to give back to our community and honor Dr. King’s legacy. Together, we’ll steward the coastline through a hands-on cleanup effort, making a tangible difference for our oceans and community. This day is about more than just service—it’s about coming together to create a healthier, cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy.
When: Saturday, January 20th from 9am-2pm
The Schedule
8:30A Parking is located at Kahuku High School
8:30A – 9A Check-in at the SCH Solutions Center at Kahuku Sugar Mill
9A – 12P Volunteers shuttled to cleanup locations + cleanups begin
12P – 2P Volunteers shuttled back to the mill + pau hana begins
What to Expect
- Beach Cleanup activities with our SCHtaff, Crew, and Community Partners
- Raffle where you can enter to win prizes from TheNorthFace, Patagonia, or SCH to name a few!
- Keiki games, plastic pollution education center materials to browse through
- Live music!
What to Bring
- Protective footwear
- Sun protection like a hat/reef safe sunscreen/sun glasses
- Reusable water bottle (refillable at Sugar Mill or via water jugs provided)
- Reusable container + utensils for food from participating vendors
