Kōkua General Store Halloween Costume Swap

Join us in the Kōkua General Store on Saturday, October 26 from 10am-3pm to swap your gently-used Halloween costumes for ʻnew’ preloved costumes! Can’t make the swap day on the 26th? Never fear! Our swap racks will be out for trading all month long – October 1st through the 31st!

Why Costume Swaps?

We host Costume Swaps at the Kōkua General Store to reduce waste in our landfills, extend the life of gently worn clothing items, and provide the community a fun opportunity for waste reduction.  The fashion industry is one of the largest polluters! It is so important to support secondhand in order to reduce waste and lessen the demand for new clothing or costume materials.

  1. When and where do I bring my items to swap?

To participate, bring your clean, gently-used costumes to the Kōkua General Store between October 1st  and October 31st during our regular store hours. Either swap the costumes on the rack the day-of, or attend our swap day on October 26th!
