Plastic Free July Shop Local, Act Global Week

Vintage Aloha Pop-Up & Mending Service at the Kōkua General Store

When: Saturday, July 26 from 10am-2pm

Discover unique finds and support local!
Browse vintage aloha shirts and one-of-a-kind secondhand clothing from our local consignor, Rex the Surf Dog. Give preloved fashion a second life and add some fresh flair to your wardrobe!

Need a quick fix for a favorite piece?
Our Kōkua volunteer and seamstress, Paula Burgess, will be offering drop-in garment repairs throughout the day! She can help with light mending such as open seams, small rips, missing buttons, detached straps, and minor patches (Advanced repairs like zipper replacements or alterations are not available).

Please note: Repairs are limited to one item per person, and there may be a wait time of up to 30 minutes, once the repair is discussed and agreed upon.

Availability is limited and services will be offered at Paula’s discretion. A suggested donation is appreciated at the time of repair.

Celebrate local, sustainable fashion with us and help reduce carbon emissions and textile waste!
